30 year update -
U.S. Navy Seabees during 1977-82. Boot Camp in San Diego
(saw Rick Seto); homeported in Gulfport, MS and Port Hueneme
(Ventura County), CA; overseas duty in Rota, Spain; Guantanamo
Bay, Cuba; Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico; Diego Garcia (out in the
absolute middle of the Indian Ocean and 1,000 miles from
anything); and Agana, Guam. Best duty was in Guantanamo Bay.
Visited Cadiz, Sevilla, Granada and Gibralter, Spain and Singapore
while in the military. I have relatives on my wife's side in the
UK and have been to Wales, Liverpool (home of the Beatles),
Edinburough, Scotland, York and London, England during two visits
in 1998 and 2004. As a consultant and corporate trainer, I've
been to most of the major US cities between 1989 and 2004. I even
had a gig in Rancho Cordova with E*Trade in 2003Besides the
military doing construction work, I have an Accounting degree is
from CSU-Sacramento (Class of '86) and went to work for Electronic
Data Systems (EDS - Ross Perot's claim to fame) for 3 years which
trained me as a Computer Engineer. I did consulting and training
work for Oracle Corporation, Exor Technologies (an independent
consulting firm in Dallas, Texas) and on my own for 15 years.
Since 2004, I've been the controller for a technology company in
Scottsdale, AZ. Nearly all my family still lives in California,
so I've been back in the Golden State pretty regularly - just not
always to Sacramento.
I got married in San Francisco in 1989 - even though both my wife
and I were living in Dallas. My daughter is a junior in high
school
Lived in Dallas, TX for 9 years and lived in the same house in
Arizona since 1994. After being in the military and consulting, I
hate packing/moving with a passion.

Four years with Electronic Data Systems of Dallas, TX as a Financal
& Computer Analyst
1 year as the Education Director for a EXOR Technologies of Dallas, TX
10 years with Oracle of Redwood City, CA as a Systems Integrator,
Training Consultant, and Financial Analyst
Once out of the military I've lived in Santa Rosa, CA, Sacramento, CA,
Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ.
